С древних времен люди старались найти способ общения, находясь на большом расстоянии. Для этого использовались различные доступные возможности: гонцы, почтовые птицы и др. Передавать сведения с помощью голоса умели в глубокой древности. В Персии правил царь Кира в 6 веке до н. э. Он имел на службе 30 тысяч человек, которые находясь на сторожевых башнях и других возвышенностей, передавали необходимую информацию. За один день информация передавалась на расстояние тридцатидневного похода. Подобная система существовала и у галлов во времена Юлия Цезаря.
Слово «телефон» имеет греческое происхождение. Слово «теле» означает далеко, а «фоно» - звук. В современном мире он незаменим на работе и дома, практически у каждого человека есть свой мобильный телефон, благодаря которому можно общаться с родными и знакомыми, находясь вдали от них.
Создание первого телефона
Еще в 16 веке Джованни делла Порта хотел сделать специальную систему для передачи сообщений, но его идея была отклонена. В начале 19 века Морзе был создан аппарат, который передавал информацию с помощью определенных кодов. Филипп Райс в 1861 году изобрел устройство, передающее звуки по проводам. Do you remember those times when we didn’t have any mobile phones? We could not call our parents when we were out in order to tell them everything was okay. We couldn’t take many photos because foto films had a limited number of frames. And to write someone we had to do it in handwriting and we waited for the answer for days and even weeks.
However, now we seem not to remember that as we do have mobile phones. We can’t imagine our life without them. All modern models look alike. They are flat and touch-sensitive; they are completed with a good camera and gigs of memory.
Nowadays, we use these devices not only to call or write someone. We take photos, read books, watch films, play games and do many other things as well. If you had been told several years ago that mobile phones would become so helpful and smart, you would not have believed that!
And now, look at us. We can’t live without our smartphones and internet. These inventions have completely changed our lives. On the one hand, we can get in touch with people around the world and get any information in one click. I agree that the days of considering a mobile phone a luxury are gone, but I’m not sure they actually save you money. I guess in a way maybe as we did drop our land line phone, but overall I think we are spending more than in the pre-mobile-phone-days. My favorite thing about my smart phone is being able to look up directions using google maps.

Since Jesus went to Heaven without any electronic devices, that means that I can just go to Heaven by doing what God wants me to do in order for me to be in Heaven. Forever.

Can we imagine our life without a mobile phone? I don’t think so. But as it turns out when our parents were small they didn’t have them, and very often they had one landline number for several families. So when did phone appear and how has it developed?
The first telephone call was made on March 10, 1876 by Alexander Bell. He invented the telephone and called his assistant Mr. Watson. Basically telephone consists of a transmitter, a receiver, a ringer and a dial. Until 1970s telephones had a rotary dial (you have probably seen them in old movies). In 1963 the first push-button dial was introduced in the USA.
It is interesting to know that first telephones were connected directly to each other. By that I mean that a telephone in one house was directly connected to a telephone in somebody else’s house, so you could only call the person your phone was connected to. As it was very inconvenient it was soon replaced by switchboards that were manually operated.
When reading about the history of telephone I wondered when a mobile phone appeared. I was surprised to know that Motorola presented its first mobile for personal use in 1973. But in Russia mobile operators and mobile phones appeared only in 1991. Back then you had to be very reach to use a mobile.
I think it is great that now many people can afford a mobile device because our life is impossible without a phone or rather a mobile phone.
